Serina Orb is an immersive program based on an experiential system of virtual therapy and meditation, to support the emotional needs of palliative-care hospital patients. Historically, the hyper-functionality required in the design of places such as hospitals and clinics can lead to a lack of prioritizing the emotional experience. The design of this experiential virtual space aims to reduce stress and anxiety in patients. Additionally, this new means of technology could create a more accessible, personalized, and sensorial approach to mental health treatment at large.
