2×4 Designs Graphics for Banco Santander HQ in Madrid


Banco Santander had already established excellent design cred by commissioning

for the headquarters in Madrid. A decade later, it was time to open an “innovation office” to focus on technological advancements—and to hire

2×4

to design a dynamic environmental graphics program for 16,000 square feet, to accommodate 50 people. Principal and creative director Jeffrey Ludlow drew pattern inspiration from Lanfranco Bombelli’s 1960’s graphics, updating them with abstracted symbols of apps, battery charging, and WiFi.
