Sandler Office Targets Mobility and Transformation at Work

Sponsored by Sandler Seating

Because summer escape has everything to do with mobility. Last month at NeoCon, Sandler Seating launched its new contract brand, Sandler Office, with Nomado. The mobile desk’s sturdy work surfaces and shelves fold down from steel wires and pneumatic springs for temporary office space or training facilities, then neatly fold back up when you need to move the unit around on its casters or nest it for high density storage.

Designed by Martin Ballendat, Nomado can be single- or double-sided and is fully wired with electrical outlets, integral LED lighting, and storage space for office accessories. The back of the single sided version is also offered as a white board, making this a versatile tool for training and presentations. The desk comes in a choice of finishes and color options in both fabrics and laminates, all encased in a sturdy aluminum surround. We’re guessing all these bells and whistles helped win the 72.4-by-43.3-inch product its Best of NeoCon Innovation Award.

When you’re not on the go, you’ll want to sit inside Cocoon, the Atlanta-based company’s new acoustic seating designed by Danish architect Carsten Buhl to provide both privacy and personal space. Just like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, Cocoon transforms your environment into an envelope of peace and tranquility—or whatever you want it to be.

Take a seat and you’re instantly shielded against the outside world. To truly escape, you can connect Cocoon’s Bluetooth speakers to your smart phone to enjoy your favorite music, then adjust the LED lighting to suit your mood. Discreet lockable casters let you move the unit—which measures 69.3 inches high and 39.5 inches in diameter—wherever you need to within office interiors or public areas.

Mobility. Adaptability. Transformation. You’ll spot these key influencers again and again throughout the company’s latest offerings—including the RD Chair, a seat with a unique shape that brings a futuristic edge to any interior, and in the chiseled surface of River Stone, a lightweight, polyurethane stool designed by Mac Stopa for both indoor and outdoor use.

Transform your work life with the latest offerings from Sandler Office.
