5 Designers Revamp SONOS Listening Rooms

Five trailblazing designers pooled their talents to transform the NYC flagship of home audio brand SONOS for a one-night-only celebration of NYCxDESIGN. Curated by Sight Unseen, the occasion saw each designer revamp one of SONOS’s signature house-like listening rooms to create an immersive experience that explores the intersection of sound and design. Guests enjoyed state-of-the-art audio, courtesy of the 279 artfully arranged SONOS speakers that compose a “wall of sound,” and reveled among chairs by Charles & Ray Eames and custom furniture by Partners & Spade. Participating designers—who also crafted their room’s playlist—include Chen Chen & Kai WilliamsThe PrincipalsBower StudiosLadies & Gentlemen Studio, and Nick Andersen from Confetti System.
