Behind the Scenes With #IDHallofFame Inductee Hagy Belzberg

The second stop on this year’s tour of the breathtaking work of Interior Design‘s 2014 #IDHallofFame inductees was Los Angeles, where editor in chief Cindy Allen interviewed the effervescent Hagy Belzberg of Belzberg Architects as part of the Hall of Fame’s 30th anniversary. Hagy Belzberg is a lauded architect, designer, fellow, and instructor. His Santa Monica, California-based firm has earned over 35 national and local design awards and has been featured in over 200 publications throughout more than 25 countries. Belzberg has held instructorship positions at UCLA, USC and The Southern California Institute of Architecture. His work has been exhibited at MOCA’s “A New Sculpturalism, Contemporary Architecture from Southern California”: the first extensive examination of the radical forms that have become prolific in Southern California architecture. Belzberg’s mantra? Architectural innovation.
