Big Ideas: Michael Roopenian Design Launches Wooden Keyboards
With all due respect to the genius of Jonathan Ive, a few people find his aesthetic for Apple a touch too slick. For them,
Michael Roopenian Design
has launched wooden accessories for both standard and compact keyboards. Engrain Tactile Keys, sold in the sandblasted sassafras plank from which they’re laser-cut, are adhesive-backed squares and oblongs corresponding to the white plastic below. Michael Roopenian explains, “It’s something our fingers beg to touch.” Caps lock: SUCCESS.
