Blips: Not in Minnesota Anymore

Born in Excelsior, fashion photographer Erik Madigan Heck has since crisscrossed the globe, starting with an MFA from New York’s Parsons the New School for Design. Shooting brands from Gucci to Comme des Garçons, his saturated images evoke oil paintings. After his monograph came out last year, gallery shows soon followed. For “Old Future,” his exhibition at Christophe Guye Galerie in Zurich, May 3 to August 25, newly shown works include the striped Without a Face (Ann Demeulemeester).
