Chic Beach Umbrellas by Basil Bangs
Who is Basil Bangs? “He’s an idea, a spirit,” proclaims the website for the same-named company, an Australian purveyor of some of the chicest beach umbrellas this side of the Indian Ocean. And that was even before a collaboration with Cynthia Rowley, who’s a surfer as well as a clothing designer, which yielded Day Tripper, a riot of florals against a sultry black ground. Meanwhile, Moorish architecture and Persian mosaics inspired muralist Lucas Grogan’s lake-blue geometric Dome.
