Chris King Photographs Depict American Travels With Girlfriend Susan Mumford
Chris King grew up in Warwickshire, U.K., and lives in London. But the subject of “No Opportunity for Regret,” a photography exhibition at the city’s Curious Duke Gallery, March 1 to 29, is America. King started shooting the series in 2011, when he began traveling annually to the U.S. with his girlfriend, art entrepreneur Susan Mumford, to visit her family in the Midwest, yielding Snow Outside Wall, Texas, and Fort Concho. Green Line, however, was taken in Florida during Art Basel Miami Beach. All are C-prints mounted on aluminum. By the way, he and Mumford are now engaged.
