Crypton to Produce All Nanotex Contract Fabrics

A sample of Crypton’s Nanotex fabric offerings.

Crypton Companies announced that all of Nanotex’s contract finishing will move to Crypton’s plant in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The transition ensures that all Nanotex offerings will be subject to the same strict quality controls that Crypton products receive at the plant.

Nanotex uses nanotechnology to change the molecular structure of fibers to create a wide range of durable fabric enhancements, including water and odor resistance. The fabrics are predominantly used in the residential and commercial markets. Crypton acquired Nanotex in 2013.

“The demand for high-tech performance textiles continues to grow,” says Lance Keziah, CEO of Crypton Companies. “We are proud to process all fabric in North Carolina, a state with fabric in its DNA, and look forward to continued expansion with the addition of Nanotex.”

Crypton will process Nanotex orders at a starting minimum of five yards. This transition will be effective on November 20, 2017.
