Diantha Nype: 1986 Hall of Fame Inductee

Diantha Nype was the mastermind of the highly successful Kips Bay Decorator Show House, an annual New York event that has raised millions of dollars for the Kips Bay Boys Club. Nype, a Bryn Mawr graduate, began her career with the Kips Bay charity organization in 1973, the year the show house was established. She earned the title Director of Public Relations and Coordinator of Special Effects, and she workded with different chairmen each year to find suitable houses, select designers, assign rooms and coordinate myriad details. She worked with all of the Hall of Fame designers in 1986, making for the most prominent, respected and successful show house in the country at the time.
