Bio : Mr. Yeon was named Associate Partner in 2005. During his twenty two years at the firm, he has served as a principal designer, managing and directing teams on projects ranging from houses to museums, hotels, high-rise office buildings and urban design.
Mr. Yeon’s rigorous design process has yielded a rich array of acclaimed work. His contribution to the firm’s creative portfolio spans across the globe including Italcementi i.lab in Bergamo, the OCT Clubhouse in Shenzen, SoMA Master Plan and Teacher’s Village in Newark, New Jersey. Pankrac Master Plan, City Tower, City Point, and City Green Court in Prague, the Canon Headquarters and Harumi Towers in Tokyo, and the Jubilee Church in Rome. He is currently the Design Partner-in-charge of projects in Taichung, Tokyo, Prague, Bogota, Mexico City, Riviera Maya, the Carribean, Bodrum, Gangneung, and Newark.
Mr. Yeon received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1989 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University. He received the highest honors and recognitions from both universities including the Seipp Memorial Prize and the Clifton Beckwith Brown Medal from Cornell University, He has given lectures in Europe and in Asia on the firm’s constant vs. evolving design philosophies with case studies of current work on the boards. He has been a visiting critic and juror at Cornell University, Columbia University, Harvard University, and the City College of New York. He is a registered architect in New York State and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
