Ellsworth Kelly’s Color Field Paintings Meet the Third Dimension
Ellsworth Kelly is renowned for his Color Field paintings. Now viewers can literally surround themselves in his artistic vision with Austin, a 2,715-square-foot building in limestone and mouth-blown stained glass he designed in the 1980’s and that Overland Partners has brought to life today outside the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin. Inside the Blanton, his works, such as the 1973 screen print Spectrum, appear in “Form Into Spirit” through April 29.
