Fantastic Flooring: Rugs, Porcelain Tiles, Carpets and More

For her latest series, Angela Adams found inspiration in deep, dark underground caverns—or, at least, in imagining them. The Cave Fantasy collection brings the subterranean to light in eight hand-knotted rugs of 100 percent New Zealand wool. Margo Selby’s Quex is a hand-carved Wilton wool rug that has all the elements—dots, diamonds, petal shapes, op art chevrons—while still looking of a piece. British design pair Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, introduces a menagerie of wild, whimsical rugs including Peacock, Croco, Frog and Tiger for The Rug Company.
