Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin Reimagined in AlaModerna’s New Lamp Collection
Famous far beyond the architecture cognoscenti, Frank Lloyd Wright’s legend is writ large around the world. “We’ve seen a lot of changes in how we live, yet his vision is more relevant today than ever,” Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation president and CEO Stuart Graff says. This year marks the master builder’s 150th birthday along with a series of nationwide events—from New York, where the Museum of Modern Art’s “Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive” opens June 12, to Wisconsin, where the newly completed Frank Lloyd Wright Trail passes through nine of the state’s counties where he made his mark.
One of those marks was Taliesin. And AlaModerna, one of many of the foundation’s partners releasing anniversary editions, has adapted pendant fixtures from the residence into Taliesin table and floor lamps. In cherry or walnut, each niche is fitted with a bulb, the indirect light generating a multi-level glow.
