Henry End: 1985 Hall of Fame Inductee

Henry End, of Henry End Associates in Coral Gables, Florida, was born in England and educated at St. Martin’s School of Design and the Royal College of Art in London. He began working in the U.S. in 1946. He was one of the profession’s preeminent hotel/restaurant design specialists, with a list of projects that included The Plaza in New York and the Carlton Tower in London. End’s first book,

The Interiors Book of Hotels

, has become a standard text for hotel design.
