Interior Design’s “One Night Only” Hits D.C.

Washington, D.C.’s design community gathered yesterday evening at the city’s St. Regis hotel for the third in a series of Interior Design One Night Only events. The program cultivates dialogues between designers and manufacturers in some of the country’s booming design markets—including Dallas and Houston so far this year.

For the D.C. edition, guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres and cocktails at the St. Regis’ freshly-renovated lobby bar, an airy yet stately space by Rockwell Group, while editor-in-chief Cindy Allen sat with designers for one-on-one portfolio reviews. Allen quipped of the portfolio review process, “There were so many people lined up tonight, one designer told me, ‘It was like waiting to meet Santa Claus!'”

One Night Only’s next installment hits Chicago on April 25.
