Visiting an abandoned church, while scouting locations for Oregon’s Portland Biennial, is what inspired artist Jessica Jackson Hutchins to try out a new medium, fused glass. She’s revealing the results in “The People’s Cries” at the Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York, through December 22. Series of the glass panels are fitted into the gallery’s 40-foot-long skylights, and her sculptural pieces are displayed on the floor.
