Karim Rashid Designs Carpet Sign Collection Made by 3-D Tufting Robot

When you’ve got it, flaunt it. Carpet Sign acquired a 3-D tufting robot, able to fabricate varying pile heights without stopping, and was eager to trumpet the new technology. So the manufacturer turned to a multi-dimensional guy, Interior Design Hall of Fame member Karim Rashid, who responded with Lush, a 12-pattern family of wool rugs that seamlessly combine loop and cut-pile tufting.

Never brand-shy, he sprinkled his own first initial liberally throughout the pattern names: tone-on-tone KogentFlow, swirly KoverUp, textural BorderKross, and high-relief Kardinal. An exception is Supernova, a rippling explosion of color.
