Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2017
From an acid-yellow wall (Robert A.M. Stern Architects) to one with plaster motifs piped on with a pastry bag (Savage Interior Design), the 45th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House is a feast for the eyes. Notable newcomers Ken Fulk, Billy Cotton, Timothy Brown, and Robert Stilin join standout repeaters Dineen Architecture + Design, Neal Beckstedt Studio, and Richard Mishaan Design, among others. Don’t miss the bamboo garden, where, in honor of the house being the former China Institute of America HQ, Janice Parker Landscape Architects installed a giant moon gate made from thousands of pussy-willow branches.
