KitchenAid Goes Tropical With First Color of the Year
Color has been a critical component of the KitchenAid brand for generations. Now on the cusp of its 100th anniversary, the Greenville, Ohio-based appliance giant joins such palette pros as Pantone, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Behr by announcing its inaugural color of the year: Bird of Paradise.
“It’s an exotic getaway in a color,” says Jessica McConnell, senior manager, Color, Finish & Material Studio, Global Consumer Design at parent company Whirlpool. “The vibrant coral hue is uplifting, fresh with just a touch of nostalgia, and pairs beautifully with the deep, lush greens we are seeing in interior design.”
The official launch of the finish is planned for this month’s International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago, where it will appear across a range of countertop appliances, including the iconic Artisan series of tilt-head stand mixers.
