Mancini Duffy/TSC Elevates Theodore Hammer
Worldwide architecture firm, Mancini Duffy/TSC, recently appointed Theodore S. Hammer, FAIA as new Principal Architect. Hammer was most recently Managing Partner and Partner-in-Charge of Design at HLW. After a “lifetime,” as Hammer says, of working in the industry, Hammer believes the creative culture and past projects of Mancini Duffy/TSC makes the company a perfect fit for him.
“The integration of architecture, engineering, interiors, planning—all those skilled disciplines that work together, are the projects that excite me,” says Hammer.
“And the projects that help our clients the most are those that have an integration between how a [space] takes shape and its interior functions with external factors like the environment, climate, and landscape. When all those disciplines are integrated, it allows the occupants of the building to achieve their [optimal] potential,” continues Hammer.
Hammer’s expertise in the field includes sophisticated knowledge of technological innovations and outstanding design work. As a professional who values good communication, the industry also highly respects him for his-client centered approach.
“It begins with understanding what the client needs, not just what they wants,” says Hammer, “And in order to do that you need to be a good listener and communicator.”
Joining the new firm with past experiences that strengthened his talents, Hammer is excited to explore new challenges and opportunities.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity. HLW is terrific firm with great leadership. And now Mancini Duffy, with [everyone’s] support and commitment, is an opportunity of a lifetime. I’m honored to have served at HLW and I’m honored to be here now. I’m looking forward to helping clients with wonderful work. And being genuinely helpful to people, taking on the daunting task of creating architecture, not just mere building,” remarks Hammer.
