Meet Mortarr: One Platform That Enhances Commercial Design for All

After years of battling industry inefficiencies and rabbit-hole internet searches for commercial design ideas, three individuals teamed up to streamline the way industry professionals and clients alike gain inspiration, source products, collaborate, and grow their businesses. The result of that is Mortarr, an online resource that enables designers to find project inspiration, products, and connect and collaborate with commercial construction pros.

“What’s been done so well, and is so readily available, on the residential side, is now being applied to the commercial industry,” says Abby Murray, Co-Founder and CEO of Mortarr. “Over five million Google searches are happening every month for services and ideas within the commercial space. We’re bringing those eyes to Mortarr, so they can finally find what they’re looking for on one single platform: Photos that inspire and the products and services that bring those spaces to life.”

Mortarr features visually compelling finished project and installation photos, allowing users to explore and find inspiration, and connect with industry professionals worldwide. Mortarr’s Inspiration Feed lets users follow favorite firms and manufacturers, save images to Mortarr’s digital pin-up boards called Design Rooms, order samples via Material Bank, and download manufacturer-specific BIM files through BIMobject.

“Our partnership allows us to bring a reimagined customer experience to designers on the Mortarr platform,” says Adam Sandow, CEO and founder of SANDOW, who developed Material Bank’s proprietary platform to streamline and speed up the material searching and sampling process. “By uniting our complementary services, we can support individuals as they move through the design journey. We continue to seek partners who support the design process and bring innovative solutions that bridge the gap between concept and reality.”
