Melanie Kahane: 1985 Hall of Fame Inductee

Melanie Kahane was an interior and industrial designer whose work provided innovations in the use of color, materials and textures. When celebrating 50 years as a designer, Kahane’s project credits included residences for such celebrities as Alan King, Eli Wallach and John Chancellor, the redesign of the Shubert theaters in Boston, Chicago and New York, and the headquarters for the First National Bank of Fort Worth.
