Milliken Opens M Moser-Designed HQ in Shanghai

Innovative floor-covering, textiles, and materials manufacturer

Milliken & Company

opened a 46,000-square-foot regional headquarters last week in Shanghai, combining the company’s marketing, design, research, and business services into one office.

M Moser Associates

, the headquarters’ LEED-Gold certified interior features a floor-covering design studio, chemical laboratories, a pilot manufacturing facility, office space, and an Innovation Gallery.

The Spartanburg, SC-based manufacturer has maintained operations in Asia since the late 1980’s when it established a sales office in Singapore. Other points of Milliken’s manufacturing, sales, and labs in the region include Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Bangalore in India.

“Over the last 30 years, we’ve established deep customer relationships throughout Asia and have seen both the growth in the region and the need for innovations that make a difference to the local market,” said Dr. Joe Salley, CEO of Milliken, at the grand opening ceremony. “The establishment of a regional headquarters here signifies the strategic importance we place on our presence here and our commitment to innovation in Asia.”
