NeoCon 2020 Now Canceled, Rather Than Postponed
In an effort to protect the health of those in the design community in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, theMART along with key industry stakeholders, announced today that NeoCon 2020—initially scheduled to take place June 8-10 in Chicago—is officially canceled, rather than postponed.
“After consultation with leaders and partners within the commercial design industry, theMART has decided cancelling NeoCon 2020 is the best course of action considering the on-going COVID-19 outbreak and the unknown duration for social distancing and other measures,” officials said in a statement, “The next NeoCon will be NeoCon June 14-16, 2021.”
Refunds will be granted for NeoCon CEU seminars and exhibitors will have the option of either receiving a full refund or rolling booth fees forward to the 2021 show. The announcement follows cancellations by ICFF, WantedDesign, Coverings, and HD Expo earlier this week.
Currently, theMART is working with NeoCon partners and constituencies to determine creative new ways to connect the community in the interim, which will be communicated soon.
