will launch a new line, RH Modern, later this fall. The new collection will feature “carefully curated” furniture and design pieces for the home with “clean lines and a modernist aesthetic,” according to a statement released by the Corte Madera, CA-based company. RH Modern will also have its own website and 300-page sourcebook.
In addition, a freestanding store in Los Angeles will open later this year, and the company plans to dedicate the entire ground floor of its retail gallery in New York’s Flatiron District to the new collection. The company also plans to allot whole floors to showcasing RH Modern in its next generation of Design Galleries, including one in Atlanta, plus new locations set to open later this year in Chicago, Tampa, Denver, and Austin. The company estimates that there will be more than 120,000 square feet of retail space devoted to RH Modern by year’s end.
RH Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman made the official announcement earlier this month during the company’s first quarter fiscal 2015 earnings video, which is available

In the video Friedman said, “RH Modern represents a fresh and compelling aesthetic that we believe will define a new way to live and redefine how to shop for modern furnishings.” Stay tuned for more details on the line.
