Siah Armajani Sculptures Display at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis

Siah Armajani first studied philosophy. That proclivity for ethics is showcased in “Follow this Line,” an exhibition of artwork by the Iranian-born sculptor at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, September 9 to December 30. Spanning 60 years of his career are some 100 pieces, ranging from the nearly 8-foot-tall red-and-blue Dictionary for Building: The Garden Gate from 1983 to a working model for Fallujah from 2004. Conceived in response to the U.S. occupation of Iraq, the latter was Guernica-inspired, horse and all.
