The Biennale di Venezia was his international debut, but since appearing at the German Pavilion at the 2005 edition, Thomas Scheibitz has produced work such as the mixed-media wall sculpture Cross and Valley, now appearing in the Kunstmuseum Bonn’s “MasterplanKino” through April 29. The selection of 70 deconstructed cityscapes and portraits, half of them created specifically for the exhibition, also includes Auge, an eyelike oil on canvas.
