What Caught Our Eye on the Opening Day of IDS Toronto

IDS Toronto runs through January 19, 2020 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. 

As IDS Toronto kicked off on January 16th—the show runs through January 19th at the Metro Toronto Convention Center—here’s what caught our eye on the first day: a range of products created from recycled materials and a pair of colorful keynote speakers. Stay tuned for continuing coverage.

Prototype table designs by WooYoo made from recycled corrugated plastic and wood.  
Seating by Ukraine-based Faina Design made from recycled paper, linen, and clay on a metal base, shown with a hand-knitted wool wall hanging. 
A recycled plastic sculpture by Detroit-based designer Cody James Norman
British designer Bethan Laura Wood, who has a passion for vibrant color, was an opening day keynote speaker. 
Nigerian-American designer Ini Archibong, who lives and works in Switzerland, was also an opening day keynote speaker.
