Wolf-Gordon’s Annual Pop-Up Installation Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary
Entering the Mart’s main floor each June, you may hear the same collective refrain: What will Wolf-Gordon do next? This year’s reveal: Folio, the manufacturer’s annual pop-up installation, which doubled as a 50th-anniversary fest. Equal parts pavilion and porte cochere, the immersive concept teamed creative director Marybeth Shaw with graphics consultant Karlssonwilker, architect Graham Kelman, and New Motor engineer Jorge Parreira. A series of panels, fanned like a book’s pages, lured passersby into a librarylike lair emblazoned with 150 spreads from
the recently released monograph, Wolf-Gordon: Sample Book. Interspersed throughout were quotes from company founders and employees
to signify the past, present, and future— with emphasis
