Zucchetti Group Celebrates 90 Years

As the Italian consortium encompassing Zucchetti and Kos nears its centennial, Zucchetti Group renews focus under the auspices of art director Matteo Fiorini. New collaborations forged across 
the design sphere include a partnership with architect David Lopez Quincoces, who offers up Helm, a clean-lined faucet that reinterprets a cross-handle tap—and marks Zucchetti’s first all-stainless-steel item. Other highlights from the company’s 90-year history include interior designer Sybille de Margerie’s 2017 Nude, which pairs crystal handles inspired by glass stoppers with a faucet sporting a swanlike neck. And check out Ludovica + Roberto Palomba’s freestanding tub Morphing, designed for Kos in 2010 and fabricated in the manufacturer’s proprietary Cristalplant solid-surfacing composite in black, red, and white.
