For the second edition of this year’s HiP Awards, the A&D community came together last Friday for a virtual broadcast honoring industry standout individuals. The seventh annual HiP People awards, hosted by Interior Design Editor in Chief Cindy Allen on DesignTV by SANDOW, followed the HiP Product ceremony earlier this month.

“We brought you the HiPest products that would have been at NeoCon and we honored innovation, materials, sustainability, and new introductions responding quickly to COVID,” said Allen. “But today it’s all about the people. Some you know, but some are more behind the scenes.”  The HiP People awards recognize innovative designers and manufacturers and spotlight creative directors, marketers, sellers, and rising stars.

Before announcing the winners, Allen gave a shoutout to theMART for continuous support of the HiP Awards, and offered a heartfelt thank you to 2020 sponsors—Formica, Interface, and Material Bank—as well as HiP Select Partners.  Then the much anticipated HiPsters were announced. This year, 16 designers and manufacturers were recognized as HiP winners for their outstanding work, with categories ranging from HiP for the Greater Good to Product Design to Lifetime of Hipness.

A special thanks to our sponsors:
