Interior Design Celebrates 40 Years of Giants With Summer Luncheon

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Interior Design‘s Giants program. Following an April celebration at New York’s Rainbow Room, whose 2015 renovation by Gabellini Sheppard earned the firm a Best of Year award for Fine Dining, the party moved down the block to White & Case’s Sixth Avenue office for a luncheon this month. The soirée was hosted by editor in chief Cindy Allen.

Addressing the attendees, Allen revealed fun facts about each—did you know that Tara Roscoe, principal at STUDIOS Architecture, hosts Iron Chef competitions for her friends? That Staffelbach founder Andre Staffelbach has competed in the Tour de France several times since his first at age 70? Or that White & Case’s office designer, HOK, was one of the first five ever Giants? No wonder these industry greats are also at the top of our list.

This year is also Interior Design‘s 85th birthday, making for even more fun.
