Tech + Design Attracts Power Players
Interior Design‘s debut Futures: Tech + Design Conference held yesterday in San Francisco was a hit, pulling in industry power players who spent the day listening and interacting with their peers, experts and innovators.
The goal of the conference was to highlight and draw attention to the powerful impact technology has had on workplace design and how the industry is handling the effect on all aspects of the design process.
“Technology and the integration into space is driving everything we do… it is defining who we are,” said Mark Strauss, president and publisher of Interior Design, in his opening remarks.
About 160 designers, architects and manufacturers attended the conference, which featured panel discussions and interactive activities. The conference was kicked off by a private dinner for about 40-50 designers and sponsors at Yelp’s San Francisco Headquarters, which were designed by Studio O+A.
