5 Global Office Spaces Employ Artistry and Imagination

Artistry and imagination are employed at office spaces around the globe.

1. Firm: Perkins + Will

Project: One Legacy West

Site: Plano, Texas

Standout: A subtle, luxe envelope of granite tile, Calacatta marble, and white oak in the building’s amenity areas backgrounds vibrant furnishings and contemporary art to best serve its tenants, which range from tech to legal companies.

2. Firm: OKB Architecture

Project: Aftershock

Site: Playa Vista, California

Standout: Crisscrossing polyester rope canopies and swaths of wall paint in the shape of spotlight rays nod to the seismic phenomenon for which the video-game company is named.

3. Firm: X&Collective Design

Project: Uooyaa

Site: Shanghai

Standout: Partitions of humble translucent polycarbonate read as industrial chic throughout the street-wear brand’s headquarters.

Viva Wallet by Lowfat Architecture + Interiors. Photography by Panagiotis Voumvakis.

4. Firm: Lowfat Architecture + Interiors

Project: Viva Wallet

Site: Marousi, Greece

Standout: At the headquarters of the e-payment company, the notion of freedom is expressed via hammocks, a camper-style meeting room, and a flock of 2,000 origami cranes.

5. Firm: Appareil

Project: Za/Pa

Site: Barcelona, Spain

Standout: A former warehouse now operates as the architecture firm’s own office as well as a co-working space for like-minded creatives with custom laminated birch-plywood shelving that morphs into workstations.
