CuldeSac is Ahead of the Curve with Freshly Cosmetics’ First Storefront in Barcelona

Freshly Cosmetics has opened its first brick-and-mortar store on one of Barcelona’s most highly trafficked streets. The natural beauty startup tasked Valencia-based CuldeSac and local artist Zaida Sabatés with transforming a petite, triangular corner storefront into a sleek interior shaped like a semicircle.

The curved, 320-square-foot interior offers shoppers an intuitive experience from start to finish, including both mobile checkout as well as a more traditional customer service and payment station. Simple materials such as white ceramic wall tiles, recycled PVC flooring, stainless shelving, plywood, and neon lighting align with the brand’s minimalist DNA.

Near the entry, plant species inspired by Freshly ingredients help the façade, illuminated by more strips of neon, appeal to passersby and speak to the future of cosmetics.
