For Savoir Beds, Teo Yang Illustrates the Full Lunar Cycle
Korean lifestyle and interior designer Teo Yang, who studied under the likes of Marcel Wanders, offers a dream of a sleeping arrangement with Moon 01 for London-based Savoir Beds. Measuring nearly 71 inches across, the headboard takes on a lunar form, depicting the full cycle from waxing to waning. “Eastern culture perceives the moon as the goddess that watches over us during the night,” Yang explains. Panels on either end can fold inward for a more enveloping vibe (or narrower footprint). The headboard and base are hand-upholstered in a coppery glazed linen—Robert Allen’s Alchemy—accented with Kobe cotton-polyester piping. Or choose custom fabrics for the design, which can be specified as a freestanding or wall-mount unit.
