Framebridge Arrives in Brooklyn With Retail Space by Studio Tack
From the bright yellow taxis to the deep red heart in Milton Glaser’s “I Love NY” design, there are some colors that are truly iconic when it comes to New York City’s palette. One such hue, the Statue of Liberty’s cool and noble green, punctuates the interior of Framebridge’s first New York City store. Located inside the industrial Lewis Steel Building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the custom framing company’s store, designed by local hospitality firm Studio Tack, is a space that honors New York City art and nostalgia.
A neighborhood rooted in manufacturing and art was an important spot for Framebridge to land. Working together with Studio Tack, the Framebridge team created an interactive retail space that adds excitement to frame shopping. Classic drafting tables are set up throughout the 1,700-square-foot store allowing customers to collaborate with staff to choose frames and mats. For an immersive touch, iPads are set up to show renderings of art in different frames, enabling buyers to test options before making their order.
To add a feeling of being in a creative studio, a 44-foot wall is covered in different framed prints and artifacts with nods to New York City. Certainly eclectic, this accent wall offers project inspiration that shows the expansive possibilities of Framebridge products, complimenting the display wall of frame samples on the opposite side. As yet another testament to its surroundings, Framebridge also introduced an exclusive Williamsburg frame inspired by its building’s industrial steel structure in celebration of its new home.
