India Mahdavi Adds Daring New Colorways to Her Jardin Intérieur Flooring Line

India Mahdavi has cultivated new colorways for Jardin Intérieur, her popular range of modern-day kilims by La Manufacture Cogolin, the artisanal Parisian flooring house, that debuted in 2015. Though the globe-spanning architect brands the range as “daring,” the demeanor is earthy and approachable. Vin d’Orange is a zesty splash of citrus, while verdant Platane masquerades as moss. Jacinthe reads rose or salmon just as Ancolie teeters between auburn and rust. Composition and construction echo the originals: hand-dyed wool is hand-knotted onto cotton-jute backing with intermingled pile heights, the negative space framing the patterns, an effect accentuated when contrasting colors are specified.
