Knight Frank by There: 2016 Best of Year Winner for Office Branding/Graphics

Constant innovation. The corporate creed of this global real-estate consultancy is straightforward enough. A bit more complicated, however, was to make certain that concept materialized at a 17,000-square-foot scale.

Executive creative director Paul Tabouré, enlisted to boost the brand quotient of the Geyer-designed office, ultimately decided to introduce his visual concept in the collaborative zone adjacent to the reception area. Abstracting the company’s logo, Tabouré transformed it into a dynamic wall sculpture by configuring white-painted MDF strips to form a three-dimensional wavy flourish. “It conveys constant innovation whilst establishing a distinct sense of place,” he says.

The wall furthermore helped to establish a robust template for geometric treatments throughout. Graphic elements of the firm’s logo, rendered in a faux-wood plastic laminate, influenced the shape of the elevator lobby’s numerals, white-painted MDF like the wall sculpture. Along the entry corridor, the numbers recur in dates on a time line—notable moments in the company’s history detailed on acrylic forms that angle out of the walls. The continuity extends to the back-of-house, where motifs turn colorful on the fronts of lockers flanking the employee entrance.
