LaSelva Launches Second Tile Collection for Mosaics Martí
With encaustic tiles on the rise, Spanish design studio LaSelva throws its hat in the ring once again, launching a second collection for Mosaics Martí. Named Etnia and handmade in Barcelona, Manuel Bañó and David Galvañ’s playful pattern of overlapping, colorful sticks on a hexagonal ground was inspired by woven cane baskets used throughout the Mediterranean. The modular lineup includes a fully patterned version and a closed-pattern option, the latter allowing for the creation of a border and a transition to unadorned tiles. Crafted from white cement, marble sand, and natural pigment, the tiles come made to order in
custom colors.
