Preview the Latest Lighting at Salone del Mobile and Euroluce 2019

As the international design world gears up for Milan Design Week, taking place April 9-14, 2019, here are some of the lighting must-sees that promise to illuminate the exhibition halls at Salone del MobileEuroluce, and beyond. Preview them below.

Artemide

La Linea by BIG for Artemide embodies innovation in every sense of the word. The flexible tube of light is suitable for indoor and outdoor use with the potential to either blend into architectural features or become its own three-dimensional lit sculpture. 

FLOS

Formafontasma turns the power cable from a functional necessity into a main design feature with the Wireline for FLOS. A single Wireline fixture can be installed as an homage to minimalism or multiple can be installed together as a sculptural ode to modernism.

Gabriel Scott

The inspiration for Luna by Gabriel Scott was the moon’s lunar halo. The highly-customizable fixtures in the Luna series can be assembled to stem vertically or horizontally.

Articolo

A new collection from Articolo, Scandal includes pendants and wall sconces characterized by a barrel-like cuff. The cuff is inlaid with antique brass mesh or leather and is elegantly finished with rounded glass, concealing the light source.

Oluce

The Ilo pendant lamp by David Lopez Quincoces for Oluce is an exercise in minimalism and subtlety. Clean shapes and architectural references define its thoughtful design, allowing it to complement a variety of surroundings and sensibilities.

CTO

Another fixture that can hang alone or be clustered for a more impactful effect is ARTÉS by CTO. Primary finishes of bronze, brass, and alabaster create a stunning visual.

Estiluz

In name and in form, the Asana floor lamp by OIKo Design Office for Estiluz is inspired by yoga. Multifunctional arms can be folded into a variety of configurations to suit different purposes and surroundings.

Axolight

One of six new collections from Axolight, Manto contains an LED light source diffused through white glass. White stretch fabric creates a discreet, elegant effect.  

Louis Poulsen

A new silver finish on the Patera pendant heightens the modern chandelier effect of Øivind Slaato’s mesmerizing fixture for Louis Poulsen. With a structure based on the Fibonacci sequence, it makes a dazzling impression in both modern and traditional settings. 

Hagit Pincovici

Hagit Pincovici‘s Desert collection was inspired by nature and the grandeur of landscape. The Cone lamp evokes wonder and solemnity in its deliberate design.
