Soon after, it became clear that the family\u2019s same-old seating wasn\u2019t up to snuff. \u201cWe needed chairs that could be easily moved, were open and comfortable, and had no hard edges,\u201d Harry Washington says. Frustration gave way first to invention, then to recognition when the couple presented their concept to
