JANUS Et Cie Honors 2024 Student Design Winners<\/h1>\n\n\n

The future of design is bright\u2014that’s evident by the winners of JANUS et Cie<\/a>‘s second annual student design competition. First held in 2022<\/a>, this year’s global competition, in partnership with design collective RIOS, centered around placemaking, with emphasis on the dynamic relationship between pieces\u2014how they cluster, group, and fit together to foster conversation and build community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an intimate ceremony at NeoCon<\/a> held in the JANUS et Cie showroom at THE MART, Camille Ferreira of Istituto Marangoni in Milan took home the top honor as overall winner for Inter-LINK, her link-like product design that functions as an outdoor toy, seating, and planter to name a few uses. Four finalists also were honored at the event: Lijie Liu of ArtCenter College of Design, awarded the Olivia Bloomfield Inclusivity Award\u00a0for Replanting; Emmett Lockridge, awarded Most Playful Award\u00a0for Kinection, and JC Stewart, awarded Best Presentation Award\u00a0for Relaxploration\u2014both from Kansas State University; and Chloe Stanley of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, awarded Best Community Enrichment Award\u00a0for Revival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
