Best of Year 2021 Submissions Now Open

This fall is shaping up to be a continuous celebration of design, which means Interior Design‘s 16th annual Best of Year Awards, hosted by editor in chief Cindy Allen, is fast approaching. Don’t miss out the opportunity to submit today, July 14, through September 22 to honor the best product and project designs in the industry, as well as outstanding architects, designers, manufacturers, and students.

New categories for the 2021 Best of Year Awards include Landscape Architect for People and Reissue for Product. There also are three additions to Projects, including Iconic Project, Senior Living, and Staircase. Submissions will close on September 22, 2021 with finalists to be announced in November.

Winners will be announced and celebrated in a virtual ceremony hosted by Allen that will air on Interior Design’s homepage through DesignTV by SANDOW as well as Facebook. Further details on the 2021 Best of Year Awards ceremony will be announced in coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Submission details can be found here and eligibility requirements are as follows:

Products: All products submissions must be introduced to market between September 2020 and September 2021.

Projects: All project submissions must be completed between September 2020 and September 2021, with the exception of the “On the Boards” categories, which are reserved for in-progress projects.

People: All people submissions should be active design professionals, including designers, architects, and manufacturers.

Students: All student submissions should be graduates or undergraduates enrolled in an accredited design program. Products should have launched or exhibited, either in conjunction with a class or a (virtual) show in 2021.
