Ettore Sottsass Centennial Celebrated at Venice’s Stanze del Vetro
Born in 1917, he went on to design a famously red typewriter, furniture, stores, and showrooms and to co-found the Memphis Group. Amid these myriad accomplishments, “Ettore Sottsass: The Glass,” at Venice’s Stanze del Vetro museum from April 10 to July 30, zooms in on his work in that particular material by showcasing more than 200 pieces in an exhibit by Interior Design Hall of Fame member Annabelle Selldorf.
