For the second year in a row,

Farrow & Ball

brought its acclaimed paints and wallpapers to

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

in New York as the designers of the IMG Lounge. The intimate space, which overlooks the bustling lobby, will host private parties and designer meet-and-greets during the runway shows. The lounge showcases the brand’s newest collection of wallpaper, which was inspired by traditional Japanese designs.

“We wanted the space to be striking and contemporary, but also create a retreat away from the buzz of the runway shows,” says Sarah Cole, Farrow & Ball’s marketing director. “By using wallpapered screens we’ve created zones where guests can rest and refuel; and the wallpapers themselves conjure images of peaceful, rural Japan, adding to the sense of calm we wanted to create.”

Farrow & Ball head of creative Charlotte Cosby integrated the wavelike Aranami and the geometric-and-botanical Shouchikubai patterns in the dark, sophisticated space, which was seperated into multiple seating areas, a bar, and a dining room. Danish furniture company

BoConcept

provided the low-slung seating, tailored sofas, and sleek coffee tables. The finished lounge highlights the synchronicity between fashion and interiors and celebrates the creativity that drives both.
