#IDneocon: Teknion Textiles is Now Dubbed Luum
Say “hi” to the rebranded Teknion Textiles (space 1048), now dubbed Luum (a neat wordplay on “loom,” natch). Masterminded by fiber artist Suzanne Tick, the debut collection is Starting Point, nine artsy high-performance fabrics suited to varied applications, from walls to seating. All began life as exercises on Tick’s handloom before being re-interpreted as contract offerings that nonetheless retain a handcrafted feel. Take Perilune, for instance, a PVC-free upholstery fabric made of bleach-cleanable polyurethane printed with a moon-phase pattern. Absolutely heavenly.
