Innovations Celebrates 40 Years of Wallcoverings

Innovations in Wallcoverings 40 Years

Rudy Innovations

Forty years ago, Rudy Mayer selected the name Innovations for his new business and resolved to live up to the name each and every day. To mark this anniversary throughout the year, Innovations is featuring a different wallcovering each month—all pulled from the Innovations archive and still available today. Each selected wallcovering will be featured on the Innovations web site,

innovationsusa.com

, as well as on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

In 1974, Rudy Mayer was a store designer working for the visionary and iconic Raymond Loewy. He was often tasked with creating patterns for walls, textiles and other products at Loewy, which eventually led him to break new ground in the world of wallcoverings. Today, Innovations carries on the legacy by continuously developing and manufacturing unique and creative materials for walls, providing everything from Type II Performance wallcoverings to natural specialty wallcoverings, as well as an array of leathers, faux leathers and sheers.

Even forty years later, the name Innovations still says it all. Discover some of the company’s benchmark products through the years.
